In this case, cha ching sounds more like a distant whisper.
Here's how much a 2% raise on my salary buys me ...
NOT MUCH.
$12.50 a week after taxes. This meager sum will be lumped together into a grand total of $50.00 per month, and added to my savings account. That's what my savings account gets after waiting 4 years. Poor thing. I actually feel a little sorry for it. I'm personally accustomed to living lean and mean, but my savings account has the appetite of a King.

ReplyDeleteand I'm with Jay. None of these new posts are on my blogroll. I came because I was thinking of you and here you are, in all your glory! I'm going to read on!
ReplyDeleteI didn't see this post either. :( I'm sorry - I wasn't ignoring you...
ReplyDeleteI'm glad I popped in to say hello - 2% doesn't even cover the recent rise in gas prices. I hope the economy turns around soon.
