Good grief ... why does a mini vacation make you want a mini vacation? I took enough for 3 weeks of vacation when in actuality it was more like 4 days of vacating. Who am I fooling taking all that make up, jewelry, 8 shirts, a pair of jeans, a pair of Capri pants, a pair of light weight pants, 5 pairs of shorts, PJs, 2 pair of flip flops, 1 pair of sneakers, dress boots, and a pair of casual flat shoes that aren't flip flops, not to mention the 4 bags of groceries, the computer, the IPODS, all their chargers, sheets, bath towels, dish towels, books, magazines, an endless supply of Splenda diet coke, a pot and lid, a non stick skillet, two baking dishes, spatulas, and household paper products?
I didn't vacate my home, I took it with me. And I didn't put on the first dab of make up or wear much out of that laundry list of clothing. I did cook, but I came back with nearly as much as I took. Maybe I missed my girl scout calling, cuz I definitely like to be prepared ... in case of what, I don't know, but I think I may be easing over to self annoying.

And even with all of that in your suitcase, I'll bet you still forgot something!
ReplyDeleteIf I forgot something, I've already forgotten what it was that I forgot.
DeleteWell, better to be prepared for whatever during what has become increasingly precious "personal time". I mean, who wants to go to Walmart for supplies when on vacation???
ReplyDeleteI know right? Besides, the nearest Walmart from that vacation spot is over an hour a way. That's what makes it a little slice of heaven :)
Deletethis is a very touchy subject in our household - i will go away for 4 days and come back wearing what i left in (i do change the undies) - the wife will take the house with her - it drives me around the twist and back again.
ReplyDeletegood luck weathering those differences in your vacationing traits ;)
