So, I’m all like, “Hey mama. Nothing feels real anymore.”
My mother asked, “What do you mean? What doesn’t feel real anymore?
I said, “Nothing, nothing feels real anymore. Like, I touched my thumbnail with the touching part of my pointing finger, and it felt weird, just weird. It’s like everything is just floating, and you know how I hate floating.”
My mother gave me a look that wanted to say, “Oh crap, she’s cracking up on me.”
Instead of letting that “oh crap” look take voice, my mother said, “Floating isn’t that bad. Think of when you were little, and you used to pick dandelions and blow their fuzzy heads off. They went floating, and you thought that was fun.”
I said, “I know, but the dandelion fuzz had a breeze.”
My mother said, “Your dad has some candy, let me get you some.”
Have a listen to this song which matches my floating feeling. No worries, no strings attached, no purchase necessary.
