:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
It's official. I'm a drag lately. When your mother tells you so, it must be so. Was that supposed to make me feel better, so that I could be less of a drag? If so, it didn't. I cried. She now feels bad. I didn't cry so she would feel bad, I just couldn't stop the tears. I told her not to feel bad, and that I already knew I was a drag to be around lately. I told her I'm grieving, and there is nothing for me to do, but to go through it, and that I would try NOT to share how I'm feeling with anyone anymore.
I'm just going to suffer in silence, put on a smile and go lay in the sun on this perfect weather day, with a PAGE TURNING book. Anyone have a page turning book to recommend? Or a monastery?

Fall of giants by ken follet. I find bourbon is good for grieving.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you're having such a rough time of it :(
ReplyDeleteAs for page turners.. I'm pretty heavily into the trashy romance, and I've always LOVED Shelly Laurenston Books. She has a gift for writing ballsy quirky strong female leads.
(I figure since we're both fans of the quirky, we'd probably both enjoy reading her characters - even if romance isn't your thing!)
I'm sorry you are "a drag" and "grieving".

I just finished a page-turner, a Jack Reacher novel "PERSUADER" (which I read in 6 hours and wasn't too "thrilled" with) and have just started on "61 Hours."
:)
If I said please, would you come back?
ReplyDeleteI know the perfect monastery and I volunteer to join you with the past few weeks I have had. La Celle monastery in Cortona, Italy. Divine!!! I hope you are feeling like your chipper little self again soon.
