Just call me quirky ...

It seems that Quirky is a label that sticks to me like glue.  My now former boyfriend 2nd Lt. Paraic J. Mulgrew, who is currently serving in Iraq, would often tell me that he missed my quirky ways.  My blog friend Iggy, recently described me as quirky, and one of my bosses (the one who likes me -- yeah, likes me like that) told me today that he likes me just the way I am, quirky.

I'm not sure what is especially quirky about me, but I'm guessing each of these fellows have their own idea of what they find quirky about me.  They each uttered this description in a favorable way, so I believe they find my quirky nature endearing.

Am I really that quirky?  I looked the word quirky up in the dictionary, and confirmed that I must have more than one peculiar trait.  Hmmm ... I wonder what those traits are.  I don't seem very peculiar to me.

  1. Quirky is one of my favorite things, right before raindrops on roses! I find you; not peculiar, but magical, enchanting, and delightfully different.

  2. I love quirky!!! To me, quirky means being out of the "norm" and you don't want to be the norm. Norm is boring. Norm is stereotypical and totally expected. Okay, so being normal is good in some ways, but I think quirky is better. It's a good trait to have! It makes you stand out, makes you stick to the mind of the people who meet you.

Like Iggy for example. He hates changing light bulbs. But wait, a better example-- He likes orange cones and super squirrels. I find that quirky, in a good way. How many people do you know that likes orange traffic cones? It makes him interesting because you want to know why he likes them. Thats a good quirk.

Like Alice said, you're enchanting and delightfully different. I haven't figured out why that is yet, but I do agree that you are quirky. And I'm not a man, last time I checked between my legs.

If you were a "regular, normal" someone, you would be soooooooooooo boring!
