I was going to imitate the Dick and Jane (learn to read) books and say something like .... "See Lickety Splitter Read" ... like those simple learn to read books would say ... "See Jane Run." It's too bad I didn't take any pictures to go with that visual, cuz that would have entertained me.
If you haven't guessed by now, there is a reader living in me. Said reader will read all sorts of things, but has been long starved of material that would lure me into reading a book in one fell swoop of a day. But, the last two books were tasty tempters and I read them each in one day. The last book entitled "Leaving Church" is a memoir, and it was "required" reading as my pass to the beach this weekend with my friends. They are both reading this book, so it appears discussion will ensue. One of my friends is pursuing a path in ministry ... so I can see why this book appealed to her. I am not pursuing a path in ministry, but would love to further my education in religion as a knowledge. And, I love memoirs, so this book was right up my alley! I love reading about other people and their journey through this thing called life. It was a very good read, and I stayed up until 2:00 a.m. before finishing it, which caused me to oversleep and miss Sunday School. I even missed church on television. Oh well, there is always the internet for my weekly inspiration.
P.S. I am super excited that you Saints won the Super Bowl. I love you, City of New Orleans. You will always have a special place in my heart of memories. I look forward to visiting you and my old friend this year!
