Good day? Yeah, it was. The only crappy part was discovering that the cordless phone had fallen behind the stove. I had to think outside of the "pull the stove away from the wall" box, because I couldn't pull the damn stove away from the wall. Don't ask how the phone fell behind the stove. That part isn't interesting. Come to think of it, neither is how I got the phone out from behind the stove, even though it was a multi-step process, which involved a flashlight, a pair of limb cutters and an umbrella, and me lying on the kitchen floor sticking my hand where no hand has gone before. Did I mention I don't like sticking my hand in places where I cannot simultaneously see. I'm just wondering how all that dog food got behind the stove, along with a boxed Burrito dinner mix ... and my God ... what is that? A loofah sponge? What's a loofah sponge doing behind the stove? Hell, what'a loofah sponge even doing in the kitchen?
Hey, lower your judgmental eyebrows. When is the last time you cleaned beneath or behind your stove? In my defense, I will have you know, that I can't get that stove to budge, and the broom won't fit under it, and my vacuum's hand held wand isn't long enough. And hey, who knew that lower drawer (where you store cake pans and baking sheets) came out? I had no previous need to be curious. At least, I didn't know I had a need to know. Now that I do, I will be sure to forget again. It's scary under there.

ReplyDeleteIf I had been that squeamish I never would have got my hand past her knees at that the drive-in. Go for the unknown and challenge life I say. Of course, getting past the knees eventually lead to an early marriage, too.
@Coffeypot -- maybe that's why I am not married ;) The unknown is always thoroughly investigated or avoided.
