Hey men, I need an opinion

So, here is my issue. When mail is delivered to my home, the mail carrier delivers it to my door because my box is at the door. Subsequently, over the years, I developed a name basis relationship with my now "former" mail carrier before he was reassigned. He is an extremely nice guy, very personable and chatty, and always has been towards me and I suspect towards most everyone else on his mail route. Over time, I have learned bits about him -- such as -- he is married, he has one teenage son, he likes to run, blah blah blah.

He has not been my mail carrier for the last two years or so. However, recently, he has stopped by on four different ocassions, after work on his way home. On each of these occasions, he stayed for about an hour each time, pleasantly talking about random stuff, nothing suggestive. The last time he was here which was right before Christmas, he invited me to go running with him someday and spontaneously hugged me before he left. Hmmmm ....

If that's all that is going on here, just pleasant friendly discussion, I'm cool with him stopping in to talk. I don't want to assume anything other than he is simply being nice and enjoys talking to me (as apparently does my ex ex boyfriend), but I feel uncertain if this is his only intention. Am I being naive or presumptuous? My instinct has kicked up a question which I can't answer.

What say ye wise men?

  4. Thanks Jay! I want no part in messing up anyone's marriage or relationship. Some of my guy friends and my married girl friends agree with you. I will mind my P & Qs!
