It's been a beautiful two days here in Cape San Blas thus far ... blue skies, a cool breeze offset by very welcome sunshine, sunshine offset by a very welcome cool breeze, sunscreen, a stack of books to read, snacks, drinks, a wedding in progress on the beach (not mine -- I've only seen one man to slightly lust after and that was only in passing), a little shopping for a lamp and a key chain, friends to chat with, strangers to speak to, sand to squish between my toes, sand to wash off, sand to stick to the sunscreen, sand dune to traverse, dogs to admire, pictures to take, walks to take, hours to wile away, sunsets to watch, stars to gaze upon.... and a big old bug bite. It can't be totally perfect can it?

As long as the bug bite isn't in the middle of your nose, you are okay. Sounds great and something you need. Enjoy and send pics.
ReplyDelete:) Sounds like paradise. If you go that way, there is a cool restaurant in Apalachicola you might enjoy... and the old sponge mart has some way cool metal chickens...
ReplyDelete@Coffeypot -- I guess I'm okay. But, the little bugger still smarted.
ReplyDelete@IG -- I think I've eaten at most of the restaurants in Apalachicola over the last 10 years or so. Today, we ate at the Seafood Grill on the corner of 98 and whatever. Can't complain, it was mighty tasty.
This sounds like such bliss, even with the bug bite.
ReplyDeleteOn the corner of 98 nd whatever? What sort of bug was it?
ReplyDelete@Cynthia ... it feels like bliss too.
ReplyDelete@Jay ... Up yep, corner of 98 and whatever when you don't know the name of the road I guess. The bug must have been one of those "infamous" Gulf of Mexico "no see-ums" cuz I never saw it, and that really is what we call them.
I am following your advice. Okay, so you didn't really give me any advice straight on, but you did go to the ocean. I am going to do the same this coming weekend!! So excited!
ReplyDelete@Nikki -- Awesome ... finally, someone following my example ;) Enjoy! I just got home from my very lovely 4 day holiday!
