I'm back from the beach and I've had a Monday sort of Tuesday all day. I can't get a straight answer from my "people" ... about whether or not it rained while I was gone to the beach. Some say it poured, some say it didn't rain, but that there was an afternoon thunderstorm, some say it didn't pour, but that it did rain. I guess it's possible that they are all telling the truth as it happened at their house. My new shrubberies can't tell me if it poured rain, lightly rained or if there was a thunderstorm with no rain, at my house, but they look perky and green, so I'm guessing it either rained, or they invited lots of people over for a wet T-shirt contest. This may not seem like a dilemma to anyone but me, but I need to know if and when it rained, so that I can know when to next water my green investment. I have been diligent about that watering task ever since the landscaper busted me out for under watering. That mild scolding reformed me and turned me into a calendar checking, hose weilding, watering fend, about as fast as getting two seat belt violations in the same day turned me into an avid seat belt wearer. I thank the Universe and its servants for both of those behavior changing lessons! Now, if you will excuse me, I have to go practice my rain dance.

You.Got.Two.Tickets.on.the.same.day?!
ReplyDelete@ Nikki ... Yeah, they weren't expensive tickets or the kind that go on your record, but it was so boneheaded on my part, that I actually cried and laughed at the same time when I got the second one. I think the "novelty" of that experience is actually what turned me into a true blue seat belt wearer. It definitely wasn't the cost of the tickets because they were only like $16.00 in "my" county, and $14.00 in the neighboring county.
ReplyDeleteLast seat belt ticket I got was $89 in New Jersey. Ouch. And that was on top of the actual what I got pulled over for thing that was even more.
ReplyDeleteI think they make water/humidity level gauges (or even rain gauges) for soil... I've seen them... ..hmmm.. home depot?
