I can usually poke fun at my annoyances. However, unless some bit of silliness unfolds as I type this, I may have to accept defeat.
Another modem bites the dust at home!!! And, I have to wait until tomorrow until a "tech" guy comes out to tell me that the modem bit the dust, and that he just happens to have a spare one in his man purse, which I can rent for $5.00 per month through Mediacom. Well, no thank you tech guru, you can bite me, because I am not a monetary idiot. I can add, multiply, divide, and subtract your ploy out of my equation!
I feel pissy, oh so pissy ...
I have no computer use at home until I shell out MORE money!! This will be the third MODEM I have had to purchase in less than two years. Can you smell the crappy work ethic behind these products?

I don't know which brand of modem you are getting but you either are getting crap and the run-around, or have some "bad electricity" in your neck of the woods -
ReplyDeletehttp://www.dslreports.com/faq/3609 lists all the cable modems that should work for you - most of them are available in stores like Staples.com, Office Max, Office Depot and Walmart. Linksys, Motorola, 3Com and D-Link make mostly good (reliable) stuff. Prices start around $60 and go up (quickly).
@IntenseGuy-- I don't know where your comment went, but I know you left one. I have had to buy two modems over the last two years at just about that price $60.00 a pop. I hate the thought of buying another one that likely won't last any longer than those two. My first one was a Motorola, and the second one was an RCA. Crap, both crap in my opinion.
ReplyDelete@Intense Guy -- I knew I wasn't crazy. Your comment finally showed up!
